David Prosek

David Prosek studied at the Prague Conservatoire under prof. F. X.Thuri. He continued his studies at the Academy of Music under guidance of prof. J. Mihule. During his studies he took part in both national and international competitions (Munich 1989, Chomutov - interpreting competition - 3^rd prize 1991). Since 1988 he has been engaged as a solo-oboist of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and he also plays as a guest in other ensembles or orchestras. In 1990 he was invited to play with the Prague Chamber Orchestra on a tour round Brazil. In 1997 he toured Japan where he enchanted the audience in Tokyo, Nagano or Nikko by his solo concerts. David Prosek introduced himself within the framework of the project Prague - European City of Culture 2000 by a solo concert with Talich's Chamber Orchestra where he successfully interpreted Haydn's oboe concerto.
