Ivan Séquardt

Ivan Séquardt finished his studies at Academy of Arts in Prague in 1982. Since 1979 he has been active in Czech Philharmonic orchestra. Since 1991 he has been performing with the same orchestra as a Principal Oboist and, as such, he has recorded a number of CDs (Martinů, Mozart, Bach). Ivan Séquardt and his ensemble Ars instrumentalis Pragensis won the first prize and gold medals in the competition of chamber music in Osaka 1996. Actually he is active as the Professor of the Janáčekʼs Academy of Arts in Brno, also.
