Ivo Hrachovec

Ivo Hrachovec is one of the leading opera singers of the Czech Republic in the field of lyrical bass. He is exceptionally gifted with interpretation of scenic lines. Besides, he is a requested interpreter of oratorios and concert performances. His repertoire ranges from coloratura parts of old music, Romantic operas with comic and lyrically-dramatic parts to the art songs and folk songs. Since 2003 he is engaged at the Prague's State Opera. He performed with success at numerous concerts in Spain, Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Egypt, Russia, Japan, Canada and also Germany, Poland and Croatia. He is laureate of numerous international competitions: 1997 — Trnava, Karlovy Vary, 1995 — Enna (Sicily), Karlovy Vary, 1994 — Lecce (Italy), Trnava, Karlovy Vary.
