Jan Adamus
Jan Adamus is one of the most significant personalities of classical music. He is focused on playing Oboe, conducting and musicology. In 1977, he received first prize on the Prague Spring Competition, so he could play on major European and world stages. For example, he performed in Salzburg, Munich, Nuremberg, Spain, Cuba, in the United Arab Emirates, etc. Currently, Jan Adamus focused also in conducting. He studied privately with Leoš Svárovský, Professor at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts. He also organizes concerts. In 2013, he was Artistic Director of the Festival Mitte Europa. His musicological activities resulted in the publishing house Edition Kunzelmann in Switzerland, where were published oboe concertos of Carlo Besozzi and Josef Rejcha.
