Jan Valta

Jan Valta is a graduate of the Conservatory in Teplice and of the musical faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Prof. J. Pazdera). During his studies he was a prize-winner at a nation-wide competition of chamber music; he is also a prize-winner of the Czech Conservatories Competition. At the age of nineteen he became a member of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra for two seasons. As a soloist he has performed in Austria, Germany, France, Spain and Japan. He teaches violin at the Conservatory in Teplice. From 2006, he is the artistic leader of the Herold Chamber Orchestra. He is also a composer and orchestrator.
