Jana Levicová

Jana Levicová graduated from the Pilsen Conservatoire. After graduation she was taught privately by Professor Jiri Kotouc and took part in the singing courses of the Italian mezzosoprano Gloria Banditelli. From 1996 to 1998 Ms. Levicová was a member of the opera troupe of the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen. She also collaborated with the Camerata Nova enseble on concert performances of two Baroque operas, Rinaldo (G. F. Händel) and Astarto (G. Bononcini). In 2001-2004 she appeared on the stage of the Prague State Opera. Since 2005 Ms. Levicova has been a soloist of the Prague State Opera. In the spring of 2005 Ms. Levicova performed in Canada, with the Toronto Philharmonic. In 2006 she took part in a French Baroque academy and she appeared with great success in Paris, Toulon, Rheims, Vichy and Besançon.
