Josef Kratochvíl

Josef Kratochvíl studied Organ at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava with Martina Zelová and Lukáš Hurtík. He continues his studies at the Academy of Musical Arts in Katowice with Julian Gembalsky. He is actively participated on international interpretation courses with great artists – for example: Maritn Sander, Jean-Baptiste Monnot, Martin Schmeding, Thierry Escaich, Jaroslav Tůma, etc. He regularly gives concerts as organist, pianist and accompanist in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Germany. In 2016 he became finalist of the international organ competition Baroque and Romanticism in Katowice, where he received special prize for his playing abilities.
