Magdaléna Mašlaňová
Magdaléna Mašlaňová studied at the Prague Conservatory with Jaroslav Foltýn, then she continued at the Academy of Musical Arts in Prague with Ivan Štraus and Leoš Čepický. She absolved one year internship at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien with Peter Schuhmayer. After graduating, she studied at the Park University in Missouri (USA) with Ben Sayevich. She received honourable mention on the Kocian's International Violin Competition, and the International Competition Beethoven's Hradec. She was also awarded in Josef Muzika Price in Nová Paka (1st and 2nd place) and 3rd place in the Competition of Bohuslav Martinů (2009). As soloist, she performed with the Prague Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of the Prague Conservatory, Roxy ensemble, Academic Chamber Soloists and the Czech Student Philharmonic Orchestra. She regularly participated on summer residence on Meadowmount School of Music (USA) and on the International Master Classes in Pilsen. She absolved Master Courses with R. Ricci, S. Yaroshevich, J. Epstein, Ch. Avsharian, S. Shipps, I. Ženatý, M. Vilímec, Midori, E. Granato, D. Armstrong and A. Bolognim. Nowadays she is second Concert Master in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
