Marie Pochopová
During her studies the Grammar School in Mariánské Lázně Marie Pochopová started to attend Fryderik Chopin Music School, where she studied piano, harpsichord and organ. In 2007 she was admitted to the Prague Conservatory in the organ class of prof. Jan Kalfus. After graduation she entered the class of prof. Josef Popelka at HAMU. As part of her internship, she expanded her studies at the Catholic College for Sacred Music in Regensburg under the guidance of Prof. Heidi Emmert. She has completed a number of interpreting courses, such as Lea van Doeselaar, Ludger Lohmann, Arvid Gast, Christoph Bossert, Edoard Bellotti, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Václav Luks, Andreas Staier, Stefan Baier and others. In 2011 she won the 2nd prize at the Bach Organ Autumn competition in Brno and in 2016 the 2nd prize at the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Competition in Prague in the field of harpsichord. She collaborates with a number of soloists, choirs (Prague Cathedral Choir, Czech Technical University Mixed Choir) and orchestras (eg Czech Philharmonic, Pilsen Philharmonic, Moravian Philharmonic) and since 2013 has been a permanent organist at Charles University.
