Chorus Carolinus Kladno is a singing and instrumental group focusing on the music from te 17th to the 21st century. The choir was founded in 1998 and follows the legacy of Ján Čambál and his church choir. The choir likes to perform the most the work of Czech composers from the 18th century, such as Jan Karl Loos (1722-1772), František Xaver Brixi (1732-1771), Father František Mensi (1753-1829). They produced 8 CDs that were presented as renewed premieres of forgotten compositions and come from the Smečen church archive. In addition, the choir created four Christmas CDs and another four CDs with the music of Ján Čambál and its choirmaster Karel Jan Procházka. The choir cooperates with several renowned artists and other ensembles and regularly performs at cultural events not only in the Kladno region. Since 2007, they also co-organize the Organ Festival in Smečná, where the oldest organ in Central Europe is located and it was ensembled in1587.
