En Arché

En Arché Chamber Choir was founded by Vojtěch Jouza in 1995. Its members are amateur singers who share a passion for the beautiful music of various styles. The choir is primarily devoted to religious music, often cooperating with chamber ensembles, especially with the Prague Baroque ensemble and orchestras like Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic or North Czech Philharmonic Teplice.
Their repertoire is focused mainly to baroque music, completed with compositions of the pre-baroque period or the 20th century pieces (B. Britten, I. Stravinsky, A. Pärt). En Arché Chamber Choir has won numerous awards at international competitions, often performs at concerts both at home and abroad (Berlin, Switzerland). In 2000 the choir in cooperation with Czech Madrigalists and Prague Baroque ensemble recorded its first CD – Stabat Mater and Requiem by František Xaver Thuri. The choir also cooperated with Prague Baroque ensemble on J. S. Bach and A. Vivaldi pieces on the other CD.
