Ondřej Socha
Ondřej Socha was born in Prague in and has been strongly attracted towards music since his childhood. In year 2003 he was accepted to study voice on The Prague Conservatoire in the class of prof. Jiří Kotouč. At the beginning of his professional career he was an external member of Prague Philharmonic Choir, Prague Chamber Choir and Europa Chor Akademie Mainz, where he had a chance to meet the world’s most famous conductors.
He is a regular guest of State opera Prague, where he sings the roles of Pong in Puccini’s Turandot, Borsa in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Danielli in Verdi’s I Vespri Siciliani and Lampionaio in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut. In year 2004 he debuted on international stage on Wexford Opera Festival as Torquemada in Ravell’s opera L’Heure espagnole. His following frequent abroad engagements include the role of Troyan in Mozart’s Idomeneo on Mozart festival La Coruña 2005 or Dvořák’s Requiem in Paris. He is regularly invited for a Rassegna Internazionale Capolavori di Musica Religiosa festival in Bergamo.
