Pavel Klečka
Bass-baritone Pavel Klečka graduated from the State Conservatory in Prague. During his studies, he won the first place in the „Conservatories Competition” in Pardubice and cooperated with the Academy of Music Arts in Prague (Comedy on the Bridge/Bedroň; W. A. Mozart – Le nozze di Figaro/Figaro). At present, he performs as a permanent guest artist in several renowned opera houses. Thanks to the versatility of his vocal capabilities, he excels also at concerts and as a song performer. His repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary music. He further developed singing technique and interpretation in private classes given by Václav Zítek, he also attended master classes led by Helmuth Rilling and Peter Mikuláš. At present, he continues singing studies with Jiří Kotouč. So far, he has created over sixty roles of operatic and musical comedy repertoire in a number of countries (Europe, USA, Japan, Israel, etc.). His most prominent roles include Figaro, Leporello, Papageno or Rigoletto.
