Petr Zdvihal
Petr Zdvihal studied Violin at the Pardubice State Conservatory with Vladimír Kulík and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with Václav Snítil. During his studies, he participated on international orchestral courses with Yehudi Menuhin and solo interpretation courses with Albert Lysy. In 1991 he won the international competition Beethoven's Hradec where he also received prize for the best interpretation of composition by Beethoven. In 1998 he became founded member and the first violinist of Herold String Quartet, with which he absolved several concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad (Spain, England, France, Greece, Australia, Hawaii, Japan, Brasil, Canada and others) and made five recordings. Ensemble recorded also for the Czech Radio, ABC Classic FM Sydney, Hessicher Rundfunk and Supraphon. In 2002, Petr Zdvihal became Concert Master of the Czech Radio Symphonic Orchestra in Prague.
