Terezie Švarcová
Terezie Švarcová studied voice under prof. Jarmila Krasová and composition under Doc. Eduard Douša at the Prague Conservatoire. In 2014 she completed her Master's degree in composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under the supervision of prof. Juraj Filas. Between 2003 and 2009 she was a soloist of the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc, where she performed a variety of roles: Gilda (G. Verdi – Rigoletto), Manon (J. Massenet – Manon), Juliet (Ch. F. Gounod – Romeo and Juliet), Susanna (W. A. Mozart – Figaro's Marriage), Terinka (A. Dvořák – The Jacobin), Constance (F. Poulenc – Dialogues of the Carmelites) etc. At the same time she performed countless concerts in Germany and Austria. Since 2009 she has been systematically concentrating on chamber music, especially the interpretation of vocal compositions of the 20th and 21st century. Beside her own works she also performs pieces of many contemporary Czech authors and brings back less known worldwide music. In 2011 she founded a trio named Morgenstern Ensemble, the aim of which is introducing contemporary Czech music both at the home stage and abroad. She is also interested in interpretation of Baroque and Classical music and co-operates with a variety of ensembles. Between 2009 and 2013 she was teaching at the International Conservatory in Prague. Since 2014 she has been appointed a professor of the Prague Conservatoire.
