Zdena Kloubová
Soprano Zdena Kloubová graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1986. While still a student she won honours in the Robert Schumann International Song Competition in Zwickau. She became a regular soloist with the Prague State Opera in 1992, and a year later with Prague's National Theater. Her repertoire includes more than twenty lead coloratura and lyrical roles in operas, in addition to songs and oratorio literature. She has collaborated with such prominent orchestras as Prague Symphony Orchestra and Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, Czech Philharmonic, Liverpool symphony Orchestra and Chicago Sinfonietta, and has performed in many countries including Japan, USA, France, Germany, Italy and England under such renowned conductors as Aldo Ceccato, Gaetano Delogu, Jiří Bělohlávek, Martin Turnovský and Sir Charles Mackerras. Her recordings include more than twenty compact discs, including two albums of well-known sacred pieces titled Ave Maria and Alleluja, Dvořák´s oratorio The Spectres Bride (Svatební košile) with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra under Vladimir Válek, Bach´s Mass in B Minor with the Czech Philharmonic under Zdeněk Košler and Carl Orff´s Carmina Burana with the Prague Symphony under Gaetano Delogu for Supraphon.
