Zuzana Lászlóová
Zuzana Lászlóová studied opera vocal performance at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and after graduation she was granted a scholarship to continue her studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest for additional 2 years. In 1991, she participated in the Franz Lehár international singing competition in which she won 3rd place and an award of the Slovak Music Fund for best interpretation of contemporary Slovak compositions. In the same year, she received a two-month internship in Ghent, Belgium based on her audition at the European Music Center for Opera Singing and became a member of the Mozart Opera for two years until the separation of Czechoslovakia. In 1993 she starred in the main role of the successful rock opera The Gospel of Mary by Hungarian composer Tolcsvay. In the same year she began to teach singing and to perform more actively. Her repertoire includes opera, oratorio and contemporary songs. She has performed with many orchestras, pianists and organists throughout Europe, and has performed in the USA and South Korea. She has recorded several CDs and in 1995 she was awarded by the Mayor of Komárno, Slovakia for her contribution to culture. Since 2004 she has been teaching opera at the Prague Conservatory and is currently educating a new generation of singers at HAMU in Prague.
